Composed as a fictional sound track to a car chase scene in the 1974 movie “Gone In 60 Seconds.” Recorded during their work shop sessions over the summer of 2024. It’s a free wheeling and ever accelerating instrumental with a haunting cornet and throbbing bass line dominating, laying the foundation for a modern day seaside Velvet Underground.

With active promoters such as WVR and FREAKZ there is a scene growing in Hastings that can be compared to New York’s late 70’s No Wave movement. Growing from a punk subculture but sucking in extreme experimentation of dub, jazz, electronica and noise. Column258 have played many of these events engulfing the audience in a feedback frenzy of space rock and freak out jazz under-pinning a spoken word vocal.

DROP DEAD is the first precursor to debut album INTERLOPER (The Workshop Sessions Vol 1) to be released 18th April 2025.
